“Heading toward a sad end”: a Ukrainian soldier spoke about the worsening situation in Myrnohrad

In the city of Myrnohrad in Donetsk Region, the situation is worsening by the hour and is “heading toward a sad ending.”

A Ukrainian serviceman with the call sign “Muchnoi” wrote this on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the Russian army is advancing from several flanks at once, and the situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces is rapidly deteriorating.

“The situation is getting worse every hour. The enemy has taken control of the settlement of Svitloe, located on the northwestern flank of Myrnohrad. Footage from visual monitoring clearly shows the display of the Russian tricolor, as well as stabilization measures being carried out. In effect, the enemy has dug in there and begun setting up. At the same time, enemy activity is being recorded on the western flank of Myrnohrad itself. The task being carried out there is to clear the territory, establish control, and bring up rear support. Additionally, evacuation of local residents was observed in this same sector,” the Ukrainian serviceman wrote.

He added that “the enemy is beginning to squeeze the space around the city, gradually moving closer to the center, narrowing maneuver options and choices for our forces.”

At the same time, Ukrainian fighters still remain in the city, but “everything is gradually heading toward a very sad ending, no matter how much anyone tries to deny it.”

Earlier, Muchnoi had already reported a sharp deterioration of the situation in this section of the front.
