The State Duma responded to Zelensky’s Christmas address with a death wish

State Duma deputy Andrey Gimbatov responded to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Christmas address, which included a wish for someone’s death.

The lawmaker posted his reaction on Telegram.

On December 24, Christmas Eve under the Julian calendar, Zelensky released an address in which he said that all Ukrainians have one dream: “that he dies.” Zelensky did not specify who he meant.

Gimbatov said Zelensky’s remark has nothing to do with Christianity and called it “political hysteria.”

Earlier in Russia, Zelensky’s proposed plan for settling the conflict in Ukraine was assessed. State Duma deputy Leonid Ivlev described the plan put forward by the Kyiv authorities as “a disguised path to revanchism.”
