17.02.2026 - 22:45Ukrainians are flooding the Pension Fund with complaints about huge queues and delays in child-support payments.
The Pension Fund told the media the situation is critical.
Since the start of 2026, there has been a surge of applications: 64,000 requests for the new childcare benefit for children under one year old, called “yeYasli (єЯслі)”, and 96,000 applications in total across all types of benefits.
That means that in just a month and a half, the number of applications nearly matched what was filed over the previous six months (107,000).
The problem, the Pension Fund says, was worsened because the government resolution was not published right away and there were no instructions on how to implement it.
The situation is also aggravated by staff shortages: in previous years, the number of employees was cut, even though the workload has increased, the Pension Fund said.
