A Ukrainian woman who changed her legal sex to male came to the draft office herself to get a summons

A Ukrainian resident who changed their legal sex from female to male reportedly voluntarily came to a recruitment center to receive a draft notice.

This was reported by the Telegram channel “Ukraine.ru.”

According to the channel, the volunteer was quickly sent to a military medical commission. However, the psychiatrist who conducted the evaluation reportedly had doubts about the person’s mental competence.

Earlier, the report says, another case involved a man who changed his sex in an attempt to avoid mobilization into Ukraine’s armed forces. After undergoing medical procedures and receiving a new passport listing him as female, the transgender person went to a TCC and demanded to be removed from military registration. TCC officials allegedly refused, citing the results of a medical commission. However, a court in Kharkiv reportedly upheld the claim and ordered that he be removed from the register.

Ukraine has had general mobilization in place since February 2022, and it has been extended multiple times. As of January 2026, about 2 million draft-age Ukrainians were reportedly wanted for evading mobilization.
