19.03.2026 - 18:01Former head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak, who had promised to join the army after resigning, visited the front line together with Hollywood actor Sean Penn.
This was reported on Facebook by the press service of the 3rd Operational Assignment Brigade of the National Guard “Spartan,” which the actor and the former head of the President’s Office visited.
During the meeting, the actor spoke with servicemen, thanked them for their service, and expressed support for Ukrainian fighters.
The commander of the “Spartan” brigade, Colonel Oleksii Khilchenko, spoke about the brigade’s successes on the battlefield and the current realities of the war.
As a sign of gratitude for the support, Khilchenko presented Penn with the brigade’s flag and a commemorative award.
In addition, Penn and Yermak visited the 157th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“He spoke with our servicemen, expressed sincere support and gratitude for their courage, selflessness, and dedication to defending Ukraine. His visit is a sign that the world sees and values our heroes who, day after day, stand in defense of the freedom and independence of our country,” the brigade’s press service wrote on its Telegram channel.
As a reminder, recently Yermak returned to legal practice. Although MPs claim that he still controls a group of lawmakers in parliament.
