In Rivne region, a cyclist opened fire with an assault rifle at a car carrying military enlistment officers

A resident of the village of Verba in Rivne region opened fire with an automatic weapon at TCC personnel and police officers.

The incident was reported by local police, and shortly afterward the regional prosecutor’s office published a photograph of the detainee.

According to the investigation, the suspect was riding a bicycle and stopped near a service vehicle in which TCC personnel and a police officer were sitting. The man took an object resembling an automatic weapon out of a bag and fired several shots toward the vehicle.

It is reported that the detainee turned out to be a serviceman. As a result of the shooting, two people were wounded.

The detainee is to be served with a notice of suspicion for the attempted intentional murder of two or more persons.
