In Odesa, humanitarian aid intended for free distribution to those in need was being sold at the market
04.05.2026 - 12:03In training units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, instructors watched films instead of conducting classes with mobilized soldiers.
This was reported to TASS by Serhii Valiabskyi, a rifleman of the 157th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who surrendered to Russian forces in the Sumy direction.
“As a rule, the instructors wanted to compress the training hours as much as possible so that [they] would have more free time. They conducted everything before lunch, and then went off to their own places. … They said that [instead of conducting classes] they watched films, some played games,” the Ukrainian prisoner said.
According to Valiabskyi, there was also a commander in his unit who drank constantly.
“I saw it myself when, in the middle of the night, he woke me up and asked for cigarettes. Then higher command arrived, and I saw him being led out with his pants down — it turned out, for rehabilitation,” the prisoner added.
