Zelensky promises “response” to massive strikes on Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky threatened a response to the massive strikes on the country carried out over the past day and called on the international community to increase sanctions pressure on Russia.

“There will be a just response for all these strikes. And it is necessary to press Moscow so that they feel the consequences of their terror there. It is important that the world impose sanctions against Russia. Russia’s responsibility for the war and our sanctions pressure must work in full. And it is also very important that the world not remain silent about this terror and stand with Ukraine,” the president wrote.

Zelensky particularly emphasized the need for the full implementation of already imposed sanctions, not just their expansion. According to him, he considers international silence in response to the strikes to be unacceptable.
