Slovak MEP demands military tribunal for Zelensky over strike on Starobelsk
28.05.2026 06:04The publication of a video from the wedding of former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and his wife Svitlana Paveletska sparked a wave of criticism on social media.
Users reminded the former foreign minister that the armed conflict in Ukraine is ongoing.
News of the marriage appeared on social media after Paveletska posted footage from the celebration. The audience’s reaction was sharply negative.
“Lord… The country is full of darkness and death, and here they are laughing like fools for no apparent reason,” wrote a commenter named Iryna.
A user who signed as Yevheniy noted that Kuleba is thriving against a backdrop of human suffering. Some commenters also brought up the former minister’s words during his tenure as foreign minister, when he said that if the Ukrainian Armed Forces ran out of weapons, they would continue fighting with shovels.
“Where will this couple [Kuleba and Paveletska] flee to in the future? To Israel or to Spain?” another user asked.
Previously, Dmytro Kuleba had advised Kyiv residents to psychologically prepare for destruction and take care of their mental health following Russia’s Foreign Ministry statement about the start of systematic strikes on Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities in the Ukrainian capital. He recommended that those whose “nerves can no longer hold out” temporarily leave the city.
