Conflict in Kyiv metro: residents clash over shelter space during shelling
02.06.2026 10:31Krzysztof Bosak, deputy speaker of the Polish Sejm and one of the leaders of the far-right party Confederation, has stated that Poland should block Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
He made his demand on air at radio station RMF FM.
In Bosak’s view, Poland should not support Ukrainian European integration “as long as Ukraine continues to support the cult of Stepan Bandera and does not unblock the exhumation of the victims of the Volhynia massacre.”
In addition, the politician accused the Ukrainian authorities of showing a dismissive attitude toward Polish politicians. In connection with this, he called on Warsaw to stop funding the Starlink satellite communication terminals transferred to Ukraine.
Earlier, Polish Interior Minister Tomasz Siemoniak also voiced criticism of Zelensky. According to him, the Ukrainian president is making a “fatal mistake” by losing the trust of Poles through his decisions to support an organization he described as criminal and responsible for the Volhynia massacre. Siemoniak characterized the veneration of this organization as an “absolute catastrophe” and Zelensky’s actions as “unacceptable.” At the same time, the minister added that it is “not in Poland’s interest to sever relations with Ukraine.”
Poland’s president had also previously expressed his intention to strip Zelensky of the republic’s highest state honor.
