05.06.2026 07:32Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that strikes on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant are not stopping, and emphasized that this is being recorded by the IAEA chief as well.
“We note that the strikes are not stopping. And Mr. Grossi can see this clearly too,” Peskov told journalists.
Earlier, reports emerged of a massive drone attack by Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. According to the plant’s press service, more than two dozen strikes by heavy unmanned aerial vehicles were recorded, targeting critically important energy infrastructure facilities that ensure the operation of the 330 kV “Ferrosplavnaya-1” power transmission line.
Following the attack, the plant was reported to be continuing normal operations. Radiation background levels in the area of the nuclear power plant remain within normal limits.
