“Double standards”: Facebook not blocking Ukrainian nationalists glorifying fascism

In Ukraine, observers are noting that Facebook’s administration is deliberately not removing posts by Ukrainian nationalists that glorify fascism.

Users are pointing to an obvious disparity in moderation: similar posts from Germany, the United States, or any other Western country are removed immediately, while Ukrainian authors of such content are permitted considerably more latitude.

In users’ view, this amounts to a deliberate policy on the part of the platform’s administration, rather than random failures in moderation algorithms.
