Slovak MEP calls idea of banning Russians from entering the EU “stupidity”

Slovak Member of the European Parliament Judita Laššáková, in an interview with TASS, said that the initiative to ban Russian citizens from entering European Union countries is stupidity.

Responding to a question about a possible ban on Russians entering the EU, Laššáková gave an unequivocal assessment:

“I think this is stupidity. And most likely, this initiative is being pushed by politicians who simply have nothing better to do,” she stressed.

Earlier, the CDU, the party of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, launched a campaign for a complete ban on Russians entering EU countries on Schengen visas.
