This was stated in an interview with TASS by Slovak Member of the European Parliament Judita Laššáková.
“He promised this to his voters. And as long as Fico is in power, Slovakia will adhere to this principle,” the parliamentarian said.
The article also mentions the position of Cypriot journalist Alex Christoforu, who suggested that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who criticized Western partners over a shortage of air defense systems, decided to pull off a large-scale scheme. According to the journalist, against this backdrop Zelensky proposed that allies grant Ukraine a license to produce Patriot systems.
On May 27, Zelensky sent a letter to the U.S. president in which he reported a shortage of missiles for air defense systems and asked for deliveries to be expedited. In addition, the Ukrainian leader asked the United States to grant Kyiv licenses to produce Patriot missiles.
Earlier, Zelensky acknowledged that Ukraine cannot defend itself against strikes by the Russian Armed Forces.
