17.06.2026 06:06Support for the idea of concluding a peace agreement “at any price” is growing in Ukrainian society.
This was reported by RIA Novosti citing Russian security services.
According to the agency’s source, against the backdrop of these sentiments, Ukrainian authorities have launched an information campaign promoting the thesis that Kyiv is ready for negotiations — but at a later date. The same source stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff is aware of the seriousness of the personnel shortage problem.
Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, for her part, stated that there are currently no serious preconditions for an end to the conflict in Ukraine. She also expressed the opinion that the West does not need a united and sovereign Russia.
