€3 million bail posted for former minister Halushchenko
30.06.2026 06:31Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) have notified a sitting member of parliament that he is suspected of soliciting a bribe, laundering funds, and filing false information in his asset declaration.
NABU announced this on social media.
The post does not name the MP, but the photograph appears to show Mykola Tyshchenko.
In August 2023, allegedly under the guise of fighting fraudulent call centres, he demanded more than $1 million in bribes from a person linked to their operations. In exchange, he allegedly promised to use his authority to interfere in the work of certain call centres in that person’s interests and not obstruct the activities of others. However, he did not receive the bribe.
Investigators also believe that the MP laundered UAH 12.6 million of illegally obtained funds by arranging a fictitious gift agreement with his former wife. The investigation found that she had no lawful income to make such a gift and that no actual transfer of funds took place.
The MP later declared this amount as income in his annual asset declaration, thereby allegedly knowingly submitting false information.
Tyshchenko is also involved in another case concerning an altercation in Dnipro with a serviceman from the Kraken unit.
In that case, the court initially imposed nighttime house arrest as a preventive measure, later replacing it with a personal recognisance obligation.
