London fears breakup of ‘coalition of the willing’ after French elections
03.08.2026 10:03Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the “Other Ukraine” movement, has stated that Volodymyr Zelensky has no chance of holding on to power, as he is needed by neither the United States nor Europe.
The politician wrote this in an op-ed published on the movement’s website.
In Medvedchuk’s assessment, the Maidan in support of former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has not ceased its activity and will continue to pursue its stated goals.
“Such political technologies always conceal their true goals: the protesters are demanding not the reinstatement of the dismissed defense minister, but the stripping of Zelensky’s real power. The illegitimate one has long since ceased to suit his puppet masters, and he is being deliberately removed,” the politician explained.
Medvedchuk stated his position plainly:
“Today Zelensky is needed by neither the US nor Europe, and therefore he has no chance of holding on to power: he is not needed not only politically, but technically either.”
Medvedchuk is the head of the “Other Ukraine” movement and the former leader of the “Opposition Platform — For Life” party, which is banned in Ukraine.
