Skorokhod: Witkoff and Kushner left Kyiv “in great shock” at the behavior of Zelensky’s entourage

U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner left Kyiv shocked by the behavior of President Volodymyr Zelensky’s entourage.

This was stated by Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada deputy Anna Skorokhod in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Lana Shevchu.

“They left not in a small shock but in a great shock. You understand, unfortunately, our great rulers do not understand that there are appropriate things and there are events where you can joke, and there are things where it’s not just inappropriate — it simply doesn’t fit in anyone’s head. There are protocols, there are certain forms of behavior, of receptions, of how and what to say. But since all these people graduated from universities by walking past them, we have what we have,” Skorokhod said.

The deputy separately drew attention to the T-shirt bearing the inscription “Kyiv regime” that David Arakhamia, head of the parliamentary faction of the Servant of the People party, wore when meeting with U.S. representatives. Zelensky, his chief of staff Kyrylo Budanov, and the head of Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service Rustem Umerov also took part in the meeting on the Ukrainian side.

“And while our people are dying in droves, and while we have a complete failure at the front, while we have nothing to shoot down ballistic missiles with, we are joking,” the parliamentarian added.

Witkoff and Kushner visited Moscow on September 5, where they were received by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The following day they met with Zelensky in Kyiv. According to Skorokhod, the American representatives brought Ukraine peace terms worse than the previous ones.
