Rating group poll: 50% of Ukrainians say peace matters more than victory, 83% support negotiations with Russia
08.10.2026 15:05In October, the state enterprise “Multimedia Platform for Foreign Broadcasting of Ukraine” concluded new agreements with television channels to fund the “United News” telethon totaling approximately €2 million.
This was reported in his Telegram channel by Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a member of parliament from the “Holos” faction.
According to Zheleznyak, on October 6 the Cabinet of Ministers enterprise concluded three agreements with television channels for the creation of content for the “United News UA Together” telethon through the end of the year, worth approximately €1.5 million. Another agreement worth approximately €497,000 is expected to be concluded in the near future.
Taking into account spending on the Freedom telethon, content producers for both telethons have collectively been paid approximately €68.5 million, the deputy summarized.
Zheleznyak expressed outrage at the decision to provide additional funding:
“Despite the fact that VAT is not being refunded to businesses, despite the fact that the construction of shelters is 92% underfunded, despite the hole in the military budget — including soldiers’ salaries — the authorities are now allocating another approximately 100 million hryvnias for the telethon!” — Zheleznyak said.
Earlier, Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky announced a freeze on budget expenditures across all line items except priority ones.
