Austria explains detention of Ukrayinska Pravda journalists by eyewitness testimony
13.10.2026 12:11The leader of the French party “Patriots” and candidate for the French presidency in the 2027 election, Florian Philippot, has expressed support for the idea of disconnecting Ukraine from the Starlink satellite internet service.
This was reported by TASS.
The occasion for Philippot’s remarks was a publication by the European outlet Politico, according to which U.S. President Donald Trump may cut Ukraine off from American intelligence or pressure Elon Musk to disconnect Starlink — the satellite internet service on which the Ukrainian military relies heavily.
“If Zelensky continues his madness against Russian oil refineries and refuses to hold new elections in Ukraine, then of course this needs to be done,” Philippot wrote on X.
The French politician’s remarks came against the backdrop of reports about Trump’s dissatisfaction with the Ukrainian president. On October 12, the Axios portal reported that Trump is angry with Zelensky and expects Ukraine to stop its strikes on Russian oil refineries. According to a source among White House staff, the American president “believes that Zelensky takes the U.S. for granted.”
On October 10, Trump told journalists that Zelensky should hold elections and that he could have ended the conflict in Ukraine and concluded a peace agreement many times already. On the same day, Trump also expressed the opinion that “it’s time for Ukraine to have a new president,” adding that he would advise it to find “a new leader who is capable of making a deal.”
