Lavrov: Russia will hear out Witkoff and Kushner but will not make concessions
21.10.2026 07:04The North Atlantic Alliance is demanding that Ukraine reduce tensions in its relations with the United States, fearing that further escalation could lead to a halt in weapons deliveries under the PURL program.
This was reported by Bloomberg, citing sources.
According to a source familiar with the matter, the Alliance fears that the continuation of the conflict between Kyiv and Washington could push U.S. President Donald Trump to take exactly that step.
At the same time, European allies are trying to help Kyiv repair relations with the Trump administration, one Bloomberg source noted. However, another source clarified that a trip to Washington — as occurred during previous disputes between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Trump — is not currently being planned.
Tensions between the two leaders escalated after Trump accused Zelensky of being able to end the war already but not wanting to do so. In response, the Ukrainian president accused the head of the White House of attempting to force Ukraine into capitulation.
Meanwhile, Western media report that Trump may be seeking to push Ukraine into a peace deal with Russia as early as December.
