EU lifts sanctions on Russian sable fur: Italy and Greece were the initiators
23.10.2026 08:01Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the United States has reduced deliveries of Patriot air defense missile systems, while Russia intends to increase its production of ballistic missiles.
He wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
“The Americans have reduced Patriot deliveries, and the Russians will be stepping up their ballistics,” Zelensky wrote.
According to the president, Ukraine is in talks with European partners about obtaining interceptor missiles. However, their transfer requires the consent of the American side. Zelensky clarified that Ukraine has already received some of the missiles, but stressed the importance of delivering the remaining aid as soon as possible.
On the same day, Zelensky announced that Kyiv had been struck overnight by three ballistic missiles equipped with cluster warheads.
Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio did not rule out that Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth had indeed withheld approval for the transfer to Kyiv of missiles for Patriot air defense systems from third countries, explaining this by the need to protect U.S. defense interests.
Prior to that, CNN had reported that Ukraine had exhausted its stockpile of interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems.
