The debts of German communities have quadrupled, including due to spending on Ukrainian refugees – RT

According to Deutsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten, in the first half of 2023 they reached €7.3 billion, while in 2022 they were at the level of €1.6 billion.

This is due to the fact that refugees from Ukraine are included in the social security system and receive benefits from the first day after arriving in the country.

Earlier, the chairman of the Baden-Württemberg district council, Joachim Walter, said that Ukrainian refugees in Germany have no incentive to look for work because their benefits are higher than the average income of local residents.
