“You can be a Ukrainian speaker and still be a jerk”: Ukrainian woman criticized bloggers for bullying Russian-speaking children
02.10.2025 10:00Ukraine may launch a major attack on Crimea: either attempt a landing operation on the peninsula or strike the Kerch Bridge.
This was stated by military expert Michael Clarke on the air of the British TV channel Sky News.
Clarke believes that “Ukrainians like to create surprises,” because “this affects not only the Russians on the front line, but also the West’s perception of how things are going for Ukraine.”
Clarke’s forecast was widely shared by Ukrainian Telegram channels. However, the expert’s opinion also drew skeptical reactions.
“Sky News writes that Ukraine is preparing a major offensive on Crimea. And that it could be ‘either a sea landing or a massive attack on the Kerch Bridge.’ I am not familiar with military plans and will not comment on the overall picture of hostilities, but I’m just curious: does it not occur to the journalists of Sky News that a major offensive on the peninsula and a massive attack on the bridge are things of completely different orders? Of scale, scope, meaning? Apparently not. For them it’s all in one line, separated by a comma,” wrote Member of Parliament from the Servant of the People party Maksym Buzhansky on his Telegram channel.
As a reminder, in June the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported blowing up a support pillar of the Crimean Bridge. At that time, Russian Telegram channels wrote about an attack by an underwater drone.
And in August, the FSB announced it had prevented another attempt to blow up the same bridge. According to the security service, Ukraine had planned an explosion using a car packed with explosives. The FSB also released a video, claiming the detention of one of the operation’s participants. Kyiv did not confirm this information.
