Earlier, the Danish Ministry of Defense announced that 8 pilots and 65 technical personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began training to operate the F-16 at the Danish Air Force base in Skrydstrup. Only these 8 of the 32 pilots sent by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense speak English at the required level; the remaining 24 people must first complete a language program in the UK.
Some Air Force pilots decided that they would be entrusted with a fighter worth $35-55 million simply because they turned the English language test into a test of patriotism.
