A man in Odessa managed to fend off TRC officers with the help of tram passengers

TRC officers stormed a tram and tried to force the only man inside to show them his documents in order to send him to the army. However, the military failed to do so.

The draft board stated that the tram would not move until the male passenger showed his documents. He refused to do so and demanded that the military show identification as territorial recruitment center employees, not military ID cards, as they tried to deceive him. Passengers came to the defense of the man, stating they would wait as long as necessary. Some women began yelling at the military to leave the man alone. After a prolonged verbal confrontation, the military left the tram.

It is worth noting that the rampant terror of TRC on the country’s streets has discredited the very idea of mobilization and provoked deep division and rejection of the actions of draft officials by the population. Often, men are simply beaten and abducted, but if they try to persuade someone to go with them, they are usually not listened to.
