They knew in advance: why Western embassies ceased operations in Ukraine ahead of Russia’s strike
22.11.2024 05:03Ukrainian lawmakers have been informed of the threat of a missile attack on the Verkhovna Rada building in the coming days.
This was stated by MP Taras Batенко.
“We are being informed of the threat of a missile attack on Hrushevskoho 5 in the coming days. This is the Ukrainian parliament. We’ll see if it happens or not. But we can all see that Putin is raising the stakes for the Ukrainian population. This should be addressed by Ukraine and, beyond that, the international community,” the MP said.
At the same time, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko announced that the Verkhovna Rada meeting scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled, and the next session will only take place in December.
Lawmakers were warned of the potential threat of a strike on the government quarter on November 22, confirmed MPs from various factions to Ukrainian media outlets.
As a result, the session scheduled for November 22, which was to include an hour of questions to the government, was canceled.
It is also worth recalling that earlier the Kremlin reported that 30 minutes before the launch of the new medium-range missile “Oreshnik” at Ukraine, Russia informed the United States about it in automatic mode through the nuclear risk reduction center.
