19.01.2026 05:03An employee of a territorial recruitment center in the Ukrainian city of Ternopil was held accountable for abusing a mobilized man and was sent to the combat zone.
This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.
According to the materials of an internal investigation, the draft officer, during an attempt to mobilize him, unlawfully kept the man in a car, beat him, and insulted him. What happened was captured on video.
The court found the TCC employee guilty and imposed an administrative fine of 34,000 hryvnias (€674).
“In addition, the serviceman was transferred for further service to the area where combat tasks are being carried out,” the statement says.
On January 17, Russian security officials said that employees of Ukraine’s TCCs began carrying out detentions more aggressively, using pepper spray and physical force.
On January 15, in the city of Izmail in Odesa Region, a man attacked TCC employees armed with a screwdriver. A group of servicemen stopped a local resident to check documents. In response to the lawful demands, the man behaved aggressively, pulled out a screwdriver, and began threatening the employees, creating a danger to their life and health. After that, the attacker tried to flee the scene by jumping into a passing car.
