A new entertainment system, sofas, carpets, and navigation: expensive renovations were carried out on President Zelensky’s plane during the war

The Lithuanian company J&C Aero has announced the completion of a full refurbishment of the interior of the Ukrainian President’s aircraft.

The presidential airliner, which is part of the fleet of the state aviation enterprise “Ukraine,” underwent updates to its interior trim, fabric coverings, carpets, laminate, seats, sofas, and other cabin components. The company also upgraded the aircraft’s control system, certified the modifications, and developed a new entertainment system project.

The updated cabin elements were manufactured by the Lithuanian company at its own production facilities. The technical maintenance of the presidential aircraft at Tallinn Airport was performed by Magnetic MRO.

“Without a doubt, this was one of our most complex and ambitious projects,” said Laurinas Skukauskas, the head of J&C Aero.

The exact amount spent from the Ukrainian state budget on the refurbishment of President Zelensky’s plane is not specified.

The Airbus A319 CJ of the Ukrainian President was manufactured in 2007. It was ordered during the presidency of Viktor Yushchenko and entered the possession of the “Ukraine” aviation enterprise during the time of Yanukovych.

For the first time since the full-scale Russian invasion, President Volodymyr Zelensky used the Airbus A319 CJ on September 18, 2023. He used it for a trip from Poland to the United States, then to Canada, and subsequently returned to Poland.
