This information was reported by journalist Rostislav Shaposhnikov.
“The accident occurred on the ‘Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhansky’ highway, where the police officer violated traffic rules and fatally hit the girl (Albina Kharchenko) at a pedestrian crossing. As former member of parliament Igor Mosiychuk reports, police officers arrived at the scene and immediately started fabricating accident-related materials to protect their colleague, the perpetrator,” the statement reads.
The police officer responsible for the child’s death is named Yaroslav Leonidovich Yakimenko. He was driving a Toyota SUV with license plate AE2725TM.
Interestingly, human rights organizations have remained silent on the matter, as they are unable to “tarnish the reputation of the reformed police.”
