A total of 21 victims: five Ukrainians died in a bus crash in Venice

In the bus crash in Venice, five Ukrainians lost their lives.

This information was reported by the Prefect of Venice, Michele Di Bari.

Additionally, one German and the bus driver, who was Italian, also lost their lives.

In total, the bodies of 21 people were found, and 18 others sustained injuries. Among the passengers on the bus were children.

The tragedy occurred when the bus fell from an overpass onto railway tracks in Venice. According to one version, the cause of the tragedy may have been the sudden illness of the driver. Another version suggests there was a fire on the bus.

“The bus involved in the accident was traveling from Venice to Marghera, full of people returning home from work. It lost control on the highway,” said the Mayor of Venice, Luigi Brugnaro.

The tourists on the bus were on their way to a campsite, which was just a few minutes away from where the accident occurred.
