A Ukrainian entrepreneur is suspected of embezzling 9 billion in army provisioning

The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has conducted searches at Leonid Kryuchkov’s offices regarding the embezzlement of funds for the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ meals, as reported by the media.

The searches are currently underway in companies associated with Kryuchkov through proxies, which this year entered into contracts with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine totaling over 9 billion hryvnias. These companies include “ATOMSERVIS” LLC, “REKTAN” LLC, “ARKHIMAGIR” LLC, “ARMYSET” LLC and others.

According to journalists, “AtomServis” recently understated the volumes of food supplies by 5 million hryvnias in one of its units in the Kharkiv region, delivering products of questionable quality and without certification. Instead of butter, the soldiers were supplied with spread made from palm oil. Available information suggests that Dana Yarovaya, the purported anti-corruption campaigner, previously lobbied for “AtomServis” during tenders.
