A Ukrainian MP reported that businessmen linked to Zelensky’s ‘wallet’ have fled

The brothers Mykhailo and Oleksandr Zuckerman urgently left Ukraine shortly before the searches at the home of Tymur Mindich—a businessman and close associate of President Volodymyr Zelensky.

This was reported by Verkhovna Rada deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak on his Telegram channel.

According to the MP, they handled the “financial side” for Mindich and also figure in an FBI case.

Zheleznyak also said that Mykhailo Zuckerman is a childhood friend of Leonid Mindich—a relative of Mindich. According to the deputy, in the summer he too tried to leave Ukraine for the United States, but NABU managed to intercept him.

Before this, Zheleznyak reported that Mindich himself left Ukraine a few hours before the searches began.

On November 10, NABU detectives conducted searches at Mindich’s premises. They are connected to a case of large-scale corruption in the energy sector. The agency said the investigation had been underway for a year and a half, and bureau staff had collected about a thousand audio recordings.

According to the media, Mindich is considered “the most non-public yet the most connected to power businessman.” Some Ukrainian analysts believe that the main cash flows linked to corruption schemes of Zelensky’s office— including defense contracts—pass through him. In this connection, the media call the businessman Zelensky’s “wallet.”
