A UOC priest was forcibly mobilized in Kryvyi Rih

Employees of a territorial recruitment center (TRC) forcibly mobilized a cleric of the Oleksandria diocese, priest Roman Nahornyak.

According to sources from the Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ), the priest was detained on July 10 in Kryvyi Rih.

The incident occurred when the rector of the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen in the village of Chervonokostiantynivka was returning from work by car. TRC representatives stopped the vehicle and took the clergyman away.

On the same day, Father Roman underwent a military medical commission. He is currently at one of the training grounds in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The priest’s relatives are asking believers to pray for him.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Volodymyr-Volyn diocese had announced the number of mobilized and killed clergy.
