December 17, 2024Member of Parliament Yuriy Boyko from the “Platform for Life and Peace” party has been summoned for questioning by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) following his controversial statements criticizing the government’s domestic policies.
This was reported by Ukrainian media, which also published a photo of Boyko heading to the SBU.
According to the reports, the interrogation is currently underway, during which Boyko is expected to provide a detailed explanation of his recent remarks.
Over the weekend, Boyko criticized attacks on the Russian language, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the dismantling of monuments, and the renaming of cities.
The same day, Andriy Yermak, head of the President’s Office, responded to these statements, calling them “Russian narratives.”
“Some politicians forget that protecting Ukraine and defeating Russia, not spreading Russian narratives, is the key objective right now,” Yermak wrote on his Telegram channel on December 15.
