After talks with Putin, Whitcoff and Kushner canceled their meeting with Zelensky in Europe

Special envoy of Donald Trump Steve Witkoff and U.S. President’s son-in-law Jared Kushner have canceled their meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Brussels.

This was reported by Euronews journalist Alex Raufoglu.

“The Kremlin claims that Witkoff and Kushner promised to head straight to Washington after talks with Putin,” the correspondent added.

Earlier, Axios had written that such a meeting was supposed to take place.

Russian media, for their part, reported that Witkoff’s plane did not land in Europe and flew directly to the United States.

Recall that the day before, Putin, Kushner, and Witkoff had a productive discussion in the Kremlin about Trump’s plan for Ukraine. Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said the conversation was “constructive, very useful and substantive,” but that “there is still no compromise version of an agreement.”

Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has effectively confirmed that Russia is demanding the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donetsk region.
