March 22, 2024The military authorities in Odessa have announced that all 17-year-old boys must register and appear at the TRC
March 22, 2024In Ukraine, men classified as partially fit for service will have to undergo a repeat medical examination within nine months.
As reported by the “Judicial and Legal Gazette,” such changes are envisaged by the overall law No. 10313 adopted by the Verkhovna Rada today on ensuring the rights of servicemen and police officers to social protection.
The law also proposes to exclude the provision that district (city) commissions for conscription are responsible for removing conscripts from military records and enrolling in military records those citizens who, due to their health condition, are recognized as unfit for military service in peacetime and partially fit for military service in wartime.
Thus, the conscription commission may decide on the unfitness for military service, and the provision regarding partially fit individuals has been excluded. Only two options remain: the conscript is either fit or unfit for service.
Therefore, the Verkhovna Rada decided not to wait for the adoption of a bill to tighten mobilization, which also provides for a repeat medical examination for those partially fit for service.
