“Everything was very harsh”: it became known how the search at Tymoshenko’s party office was carried out
15.01.2026 05:03Businessman Ihor Kolomoisky, who is being held in a pre-trial detention center, commented on the searches carried out by Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) at the office of Yulia Tymoshenko’s Batkivshchyna party.
He made the remarks during another court hearing. Kolomoisky said he was surprised that the anti-corruption agency had made such a fuss over just $40,000.
“So all this commotion is because of 40 thousand? To bother an elderly woman at night… What, by 65 she couldn’t have accumulated 40 thousand dollars? I think she’s accumulated a bit more. She has a declaration, doesn’t she? So why did they show up? And on top of that they issue a notice of suspicion. Wasn’t it enough that she served three and a half years under Yanukovych (Viktor Yanukovych — Ed.)?” Kolomoisky said.
He called the video showing NABU officers pouring dollars out of a bag in front of Tymoshenko a pathetic parody.
“Look: Yulia Volodymyrivna and some pathetic four bundles,” he said sarcastically.
He also said he was surprised that at one o’clock in the morning the politician was “fully dressed up and made up.”
As a reminder, NABU suspects Tymoshenko of making monthly payments of $10,000 to a group of three MPs in exchange for their votes.
