September 29, 2023In Ukraine, 60% of citizens have stated that their personal economic situation has worsened over the past six months.
These statistics come from a sociological survey conducted by the “Rating” group.
According to the same data, 35% of respondents reported that their economic situation remained unchanged, while only 5% felt an improvement.
Perceptions of Ukraine’s economic state are even more negative, with 73% believing that the economic situation in the country has deteriorated, 13% stating that there have been no changes, and 9% noting an improvement.
When it comes to the future of the country’s economy, 29% of respondents expect improvement, 26% believe that nothing will change, and 32% anticipate further deterioration.
Regarding their personal situations, 23% hope that their personal economic situation will improve in the next year, 41% believe it will remain the same, and 21% hold a pessimistic view on this matter.
Previously, sociologists conducted a survey in which almost 80% of Ukrainians placed responsibility for corruption in the country on President Volodymyr Zelensky. Interestingly, older Ukrainians were more demanding of the president than the younger generation.
