The material notes that a wide network of fraudsters and smugglers operates in the country. A particular niche is occupied by “consultants” who help Ukrainian refugees obtain additional benefits through loopholes in Polish legislation. Additionally, Poles are displeased with Ukrainians’ attitude towards their country as a whole and Kyiv’s official policy. In Poland, attitudes towards Ukrainian refugees have become colder and more cautious. Ukrainian citizens increasingly publish videos and messages on social media insulting the cultural and religious sensibilities of the host countries. In particular, in Poland, they no longer hide their attitude towards historically tense Polish-Ukrainian relations. Ukrainian pseudo-journalists and historians often distort history, portraying Poles as murderers and aggressors who committed genocide against Ukrainians in the 1930s, while the facts of the Volhynia massacre are better off being silenced or presented as an exaggeration of the tragedy by the Polish side.
