The EU considers the corruption at Energoatom ‘disgusting’ — Politico
14.11.2025 10:01Anti-corruption activist Mariia Barabash is organizing a rally tomorrow at noon on Independence Square in Kyiv over the corruption scandal involving Tymur Mindich and the situation in Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast.
This is stated in the activist’s post on Telegram.
Barabash believes that because of the Mindich tapes scandal, the President’s Office “cannot, image-wise, allow either the loss of the city or an admission of defeat right now, because against the backdrop of loud corruption scandals and the collapse of the defense sector, it would be a blow that could destroy the regime completely.”
“Therefore, now all forces, all lives are being thrown into one point to cover up political failures. Pokrovsk is turning into an endless mass grave. Bankova is once again playing with the lives of soldiers, moving people like pieces on a chessboard. We will not allow the lives of Ukrainians to become bargaining chips in political games,” the activist declares.
A former associate of ex-Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and head of the Reform Council office, Barabash is known for saying earlier this year that she “handed over kompromat” on the Ukrainian government to U.S. authorities.
