The sharpening rhetoric from Alexey Arestovich directed at President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Ukrainian government has raised questions about his boldness and whether he fears potential retaliation from the Presidential Office in the form of criminal charges and imprisonment.
Many wonder why Ukrainian authorities have not taken any legal action against him.
According to Ukrainian media reports, the paradox can be explained quite simply: Arestovich has been residing abroad for a considerable period and hasn’t returned to Ukraine. It’s since he left the country that his statements have become much more confrontational.
