Kolomoisky believes that the war in Ukraine will not end within the next three years
04.05.2026 - 05:33One of Switzerland’s largest newspapers, the German-language Neue Zürcher Zeitung, has published an article sharply criticizing the Ukrainian authorities and Germany’s attitude toward Bankova.
The piece appeared on the front page and was written by NZZ editor-in-chief Eric Gujer.
The journalist writes that any negative assessments of Ukraine in Berlin are “largely taboo.”
“The government does not even condemn the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines… The good guys are good guys, and good guys cannot do anything wrong. Moralizing in German foreign policy leaves little room for nuance. This black-and-white thinking also leads to serious problems in Ukraine, such as endemic corruption, being raised only with restraint,” the article says.
The newspaper points out that Germany criticizes even allies such as the United States and Israel, but in the case of Ukraine there is only “hurrah-patriotism” and “idealization.”
The author also recalls that Ukraine blew up the Nord Stream pipelines, although Kyiv denies this, while Germany has gone into “radio silence” on the matter. He considers such a policy to be “kowtowing to Kyiv.”
