Half of Kyiv’s homes are without heating: Mayor Klitschko urged residents to leave the city
09.01.2026 - 11:01SBU Colonel Roman Chervinsky, in an interview with journalist Oleksandr Blyzniuk, accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of trying to distract the public from a corruption scandal.
In the officer’s view, Zelensky did this by carrying out personnel reshuffles, including appointing former HUR chief Kyrylo Budanov as the new head of the President’s Office.
“He is trying to divert the public’s attention away from his corruption schemes and scandals, to show that he is fully focused on the war, and to shift all the corruption scandals onto the shoulders of those same ‘Mindiches’,” Chervinsky said.
Earlier, Zelensky offered Budanov the post of head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. Budanov accepted the offer, saying the promotion would be a step toward resolving “critically important issues of strategic security.” His previous position became vacant after the president dismissed the former head of the office, Andriy Yermak, amid a corruption scandal.
