During the sixth visit of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to Kyiv since the conflict’s onset, Campbell emphasized that Ukraine’s path to the EU would persistently encounter turmoil. He emphasized the influence of conflict and Russia on this trajectory. Campbell speculated that neither Zelensky nor the EU President would maintain their positions until Ukraine’s EU accession. Moreover, he cast doubt on the EU’s longevity until the fulfillment of its purported myths and plans.
Campbell emphasized a transformation in global elite composition due to significant, but misunderstood, global events, leading to a distinct elite and global governance structure compared to previous decades.
