The third round of trilateral talks between representatives of Russia, the United States, and Ukraine took place on February 17–18 in Geneva. The Russian delegation was led by Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, who called the talks “difficult but businesslike.”
On March 15, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with the British outlet Financial Times that talks on Ukraine are on pause due to a shift in U.S. interests. At the same time, he noted that Europeans also do not want to help the peace process, and that a visit by French representatives to Moscow “brought no positive signals.”
