October 31, 2023Another poll has recorded a decline in Ukrainians’ trust in President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Data from KMIS indicates that in May 2023, 91% of those surveyed trusted the president, but by October 2023, that trust had dropped to 76%. In May, 7% did not trust him, but in October, 22% expressed distrust.
Trust in the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s parliament) also fell from 58% to 21%, trust in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dropped from 74% to 39%, and trust in telethons decreased from 69% to 48%.
According to research from the “Rating” group, Zelensky has lost 16% of active supporters in the last six months.
TIME magazine reports that the Presidential Office has noticed this trend and plans to address it by firing a minister and a high-ranking military official, holding them responsible for the lack of success on the frontlines.
