Ukrainians believe in victory, but only a third expect a return to 1991 borders — poll
03.07.2026 19:09Verkhovna Rada deputy Anna Skorokhod has warned that Ukraine may face serious problems at the state level over the assassination attempt on businessman Vadim Yermolayev in Monaco.
She expressed her opinion in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Vitaliy Diky.
According to Skorokhod, Monaco is a state where “showdowns” are not tolerated and the activities of foreign intelligence services on its territory are prohibited. The parliamentarian called this an unspoken international rule and stressed the high-profile nature of the incident, adding that law enforcement officers will identify those who ordered and carried out the attack.
“I think we will have considerable problems over this, including at the state level,” the MP said.
The explosion in Monaco rang out on the evening of Monday, June 29. According to official data, three people were injured: Yermolayev himself, his son, and his companion Anna Nasobina — the daughter of the former first deputy prosecutor of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Cameras captured an unknown individual leaving a backpack that detonated when people approached it. The prosecutor’s office detained a foreign national. No further details have been disclosed.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry did not rule out Kyiv’s involvement in the incident. Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stressed that the principality bears responsibility for the actions of the criminals it hired.
