Ukrainian MP Dubinsky accused Zelensky of lying about the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
June 30, 2025The NATO summit held in The Hague led to a new realization for Kyiv — the understanding that a military victory over Russia is no longer possible.
“Ignoring Ukraine’s concerns at the NATO summit is symbolic of a broader and more troubling trend. After more than three years of a grueling war with Russia, Ukraine has discovered that it lacks both the manpower and weaponry to achieve victory,” the article states.
The authors point out that the summit’s final communiqué contained no condemnation of Moscow, and that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appeared to play a secondary role at the event. This, they argue, reflects growing fatigue toward Kyiv within the North Atlantic Alliance.
“Although NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte repeated the usual line about Ukraine’s irreversible path to alliance membership, his words rang more hollow than ever,” the publication concludes.
Earlier, members of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada claimed that former U.S. President Donald Trump, during a conversation with Zelensky at the NATO summit, made it clear that he would no longer support continued assistance to Ukraine.
