30.05.2025 08:16The composition of the Russian delegation for negotiations with representatives of Ukraine on June 2 will remain the same as it was on May 16.
This was stated by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
It’s worth recalling that on May 16, the Russian delegation was led by presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky. It also included Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian General Staff Igor Kostyukov, and Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin.
Yesterday, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that the new round of talks will take place on Monday in Istanbul. At these talks, Moscow will present a memorandum on the future peace agreement. The Russian delegation is ready to explain it.
Ukraine has not confirmed this.
At today’s briefing, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson did not answer whether the Ukrainian delegation would attend negotiations with Russia on June 2.
Earlier, media reported that the Ukrainian authorities continue to demand that Russia provide the memorandum on ending the war in Ukraine before the start of the new round of negotiations in Istanbul.
